White Salmon Modern Farm

This new build was a genuine labor of love! My husband and I built this house on weeknights and weekends with the help of Alan Carlock.

My initial vision was a two-story modern farmhouse, but the lot’s slope required that I adapt my ideas to a single-level home with a daylight basement. However, I kept the modern farmhouse vibe. Light hardwood flooring, painted white doors and casings and a couple of handmade barnwood doors gave it the farmhouse feel. We incorporated some rustic metal railing and stained concrete floors to give it a boost of an industrial flare.

Every detail was personally selected and finished by myself and my husband. I learned many valuable lessons which I pass along to my clients.
