Our Process - Neff Designs

1. Initial

Consultation
We meet with you to learn your design needs, and explain our detailed process. First we talk about your overall plan and what you want to accomplish. Then we gather inspiration photos and create a vision. We discuss timeline, budget, and current design phase, and assess your needs to create a proposal that fits your project.

Proposal & Agreement
Our Proposal is sent along with our Agreement. These documents outline our scope of work for the project, timeline and budget. Once these are signed and the deposit is received then we begin on to the design fun!

2. Review

Together, we review your goals and refine our understanding of your design aesthetic. We review any construction documents you currently have and visit the job site to take measurements of the spaces.

Drafting Documents
We draft construction documents and floor plans – whatever is needed for your project.

Design Boards
We discuss items and options to be selected and purchased for your project and create virtual design boards for you to visualize how all your pieces come together.

For example, in a bathroom remodel we will select items such as cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, lighting, and plumbing fixtures all for your design board.

3. Design & Details

This is when we solidify your finish material selections and construction budget. We put together specification packets for the build team – these documents ensure your project runs smoothly.

Ordering
We take the hassle out of ordering the items needed for your project and work alongside your build team to make sure everything is on-site before it’s needed. If problems arise, we’re here to troubleshoot with subcontractors to find solutions.

4. Execution

As the project begins construction, we transition into a project management role, making sure every detail in our design plan is implemented properly.

Furnish & Finalize
Let us put the finishing touches on your project to ensure the design lives up to its full potential. We provide layouts and design boards with furniture from our extensive list of suppliers. We curate a design specific to your design style and needs and ensuring your space is truly yours. Once finalized, we coordinate purchasing and installation of all the items.
